While you will learn a great deal, this is not a class—it’s a meaningful
journey of connection and shared humanity. Past cohort members
describe the experience as deeply personal, empowering, and
transformative.

I joined PJCC’s Allyship Project to better understand what moves my Jewish friends, to explore how non-Jews relate to the Jewish people, and to discover meaningful ways we can walk together through the challenges of this moment.

As someone originally from Germany, the October 7th attacks shook me to my core—but it was the eruption of open antisemitism on October 8th and beyond that truly awakened something in me.

The cohort gave me a space to listen, to learn, and to connect on a human level. It helped me sit with the discomfort, share in the questions, and begin building bridges rooted in honesty, empathy, and care. I left with strengthened relationships and a renewed sense of purpose. —Sebastian S.

I joined the Allyship Project to deepen my understanding of the experiences of my Jewish friends and colleagues. As a non-Jewish participant, I also wanted to offer my perspective to help shape programs that feel inclusive and engaging for everyone.

One of the most meaningful aspects of the cohort was the intentional space it created for connection. Through guided conversations, storytelling, and shared learning, we had time to listen deeply and reflect together. These moments allowed us to build trust, challenge assumptions, and form genuine relationships across difference.

I believe it’s essential for us to be in community with one another. It’s difficult to be an ally to someone whose story you don’t know—and these personal connections have made all the difference.
